About

Alex Ching started Island Vee Dub as a side gig over 20 years ago selling restoration parts for anything vintage Volkswagen out of his home garage in Halawa. HIs wife, Jodie, encouraged him to become an established business so that his passion for Volkswagen could be financially self-sustaining.

Eventually, his side gig outgrew his home once he and Jodie started their family. So he moved his operations to Kaimuki subleasing at his father-in-law’s office space. Slowly classic Volkswagen owners sought him out, and with that support, his inventory started to grow.

Now, in the current location on Waialae Avenue, with constant requests for t-shirts and Hawaii themed products, Island Vee Dub is ready to, once again, expand with this website. Jodie decided to join forces and help with new products, merchandise, and even some events! She is excited to be managing this new online store by putting her accounting, editing, and government experience to work.

We are here for your Island Vee Dub apparel and merchandise, to help you get your pride and joy beautifully restored, or to even just talk story. Visit our shop and follow Island Vee Dub on Facebook and Instagram.

Aloha,

Alex & Jodie Ching
